Summary: They get married
Percy: Things so far were going as planned. Everything had arrived and it wasn't exactly cold out, but still Percy was pacing his old room. He wasn't quite sure what had come over him to make him suddenly feel so nervous. Going over everything in his head he tried to find what it was. There was a soft knock at the door and Arthur poked his head in. "I'm fine." Percy stated. Arthur nodded, then closed the door again to leave Percy in piece. He looked at the small desk holding the final pieces of his outfit then noticed a silver flask sitting with a note on it. 'Dear Prat, we don't like you still, but Penny's a good girl.
Penny: Penny nervously paced the small space in Ginny's bedroom while Ginny tried to put the floral garland in her hair. She didn't know why she was so nervous, the flowers were perfect, the charms over the garden were holding, no one got lost and Arthur hadn't accosted her parents wanting to knwo about muggle things. This was the biggest day of her life, she was taking a big step forward, she was getting married finally to Percy
Percy: That was it, he could hear the music starting as all the guest went to take their seats. Wiping his sweating palms on his pants Percy finished fixing up his suit before he left the room.
Penny: Penny fastened the fur lined cloak and cast a warming charm on her shoes so her toes wouldn't freeze in the snow. Ginny had finally been able to secure the garland and gathering up her robes they left the bedroom and went downstairs
Percy: Mr. Clearwater stood standing just infront of the back door where they would be walking her out to the small garden. He beamed when he saw how beautiful she looked. Holding out his hand for her he waited.
Penny: She took his hand and gave him a nervous smile as she tried to steady her nerves. They stepped out into the snow and to the garden where Percy stood up at the alter.
Percy: The murmuring died down as Penelope appeared. Some people looked from the alter towards her curiously. Mr. Clearwater froze when he noticed no one there. "...not to late to change your mind Penelope." he said softly so no one but her would hear.
Penny: Smiling at the guests she whispered back, "I am not changing my mind. He will come. I mean he was in the room down the hall. He will be here daddy"
Percy: Mr. Clearwater nodded, "Do you want to stay here until he does come or do you just want to start to walk?"
Penny: She bit her lip, looking around...."I uh...I dont' know. Keep going I guess"
Percy: He started to walk again, but slower as to save her from the humiliation.
Percy: Percy rummaged around his room desperately looking for his glasses. He was going to need them for the vows. Both Penelope and him had decided to write their own but just moments before he had reached the alter he realized he wouldn't be able read his without his glasses. "Where the hell are they!" he hissed, kneeling on the floor to look under his bed.
Penny: Penny and her father reached the alter and Percy still wasn't there. She looked around, trying to figure out where he was. He was never late for anything. She closed her eyes, trying not to cry.
Percy: Mr. Clearwater looked towards Arthur who was sitting lower in his seat like he didn't want to be seen.
Percy: Percy stood up looking around everywhere when he finally spotted them under his pillow. Grabbing them he bolted down the stairs and outside towards the alter as fast as his legs would carry him.
Penny: The guests were starting to get restless and the tears were about to spill from her eyes, "Dad...perhaps we should postpone until we find Percy. This isn't like him, I wonder if he changed his mind"
Percy: Her father glared at Arthur who was about to stand up and go and look for Percy. "Are you sure you want to do that?"
Penny: "How can I get married if he isn't here?"
Percy: "Alright, I'll announce it for you." He whispered, wiping the tears from her face with his thumb. Then he turned towards the guest about to say the wedding was poseponed when he spotted Percy running towards them.
Penny: Seeing Percy running towards them Penny let out a breath she hadn't known she had been holding. When he got close enough to hear she whispered, "Where have you been?"
Percy: "I lost my glasses," he replied keeping a low voice. He put them on and smiled towards Mr. Clearwater before taking Penelopes hand and walking up to the alter.
Penny: She walked with him to the alter where the officiater stood looking rather solemn and not at all affected by the delay. He looked at the both of them and asked, "Do you both come to this union freely?"
Percy: Honestly, Percy thought, What kind of a question was that if they were paying the officiater? "Yes," he said clearly, then looked towards Penelope.
Penny: She looked at Percy and smiled, "Yes I come freely"
Percy: "We are gathered here today to witness the handfasting of Percival Ignatius Weasley and Penelope Anne Clearwater in holy matrimony. I understand the bride and groom have vows made for each other." he asked.
Penny: Penny smiled and took Percy's hand. "I Penelope Anne do give myself to you Percival Ignatius of my own free will. I enter into this partnership and marriage with you on equal standing. I promise you fidelity, companionship and love."
Percy: He smiled back at her letting go of her hand but still holding them with his right as his left dug around in his pocket to find his 'small' speech. He was starting to get worried when he couldn't find it in his pocket, then Oliver tapped him on the shoulder and handed him a piece of paper. He smiled sheepishly and took the paper from his school mate. Unfolding it he looked down and read the words. "Ever since I've known you Penelope, my life seems to have turned upside down. It's been..." he paused looking at the paper again then back at her. Then he turned back to Oliver and gave it to him before turning completely to Penelope and taking her two hands in his squeezing gently. "Penelope Clearwater, I have to admit some things don't always work out the way you plan. I know for a fact that I'm no prize but somehow you love me still and take ever flaw with it. You taught me how to see life through the eyes of a child, a way I never would have been able to without your help. For that there is no words to express how I am grateful, but I just want you to know that I love you. Cause when you love someone it's not just a thought that forms in your brain. It's a feeling in the pit of your stomach then when your around that person again the whole world stops. That when your around that one person that makes you feel good and as if you don't have anything to hide anymore, Who will just listen to you and make you feel like yourself and no one else. That one person is worth fighting for. For me that's you. I can make every promise that has ever been made. I can make all your demons be gone. But I'm never gonna make it without you and that's why I'm standing here with you now. I promise you the world, or I will die trying because from now on we'll be together forever." he smiled, almost near tears now. The Officiater looked at him for a moment. "done?" he asked. Percy blushed and nodded.
Penny: Penny was speechless, his honest words touched her heart. She squeezed his hands and smiled, looking into his eyes. The Officiator cleared his throat and Penny was jolted back into reality. She turned and took a ring that Ginny held out to her. Taking Percy's left hand she slipped the wedding band onto his ring finger and whispered, "I love you"
Percy: He turned towards Oliver who had handed him the ring and lifted her left hand, sliding it onto her finger. "I love you too." The officiator smiled and turned towards Percy. "If anyone has any objections to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace."
Penny: Luckily for them the guests all remained silent and the Officiator smiled. "Then I pronounce you wed in all it entails. And in the Muggle custom...you may kiss the bride."
Percy: Percy licked dry lips, stepping foreward and leant down slowly kissing her.
Penny: She kissed him softly then pulled back and smiled before turning to face their guests
Percy: "I now pronounce you man and wife." The officiator said.
Percy: Percy started to walk down the isle looking back towards Oliver and mouthed something slowly, then turned back only to receive a face full of rice.
Penny: Penny started to giggle, and brushed rice from his cloak and robes then glared at Oliver
Percy: Percy laughed as they walked down the isle to everyone clapping.
Penny: They headed into the warmth of the Burrow. Molly had charmed the dining room to accomodate all the guests and the food was already on the table, piping hot.
